JCI Barnsley is part of Junior Chamber International
(JCI), an independent, world-wide personal development organisation for people
from all walks of life, in all positions, in any field of industry, in their
20's & 30's, and who wish to 'be better' in their business and social
lives.
A world-wide out of hours organisation, JCI focus on
developing people's potential. This is done through a programme of formal and
informal training, conferences, social and sports events and practical projects
which are available locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
We "open the door to our members' future" by providing
opportunities:
- to acquire new business skills and polish existing ones
- to complement work training - to meet new challenges
- to expand your network of friends and business contacts
- to improve presentational skills
- to develop leadership ability

Meet with other like-minded business people in the area, Annual
Business Lecture, 'behind the scenes' factory/company visits and networking
events. |
| Personal Development: |
Training sessions, debating, public speaking and project
management. |
| Social: |
This covers a huge variety of activities from badminton to
white water rafting, and from pub quizzes to formal black tie
dinners. |
| International: |
European Conferences, World Conferences and International
Twinning. |
| Community: |
'Hands-On' projects, charity events, and National Community
projects, amongst other volunteer activities. |
