Meet the council team

2012 President- Kirstie Barnett
Kirstie is an Assistant Facilities Manager for Carillion Facilities Management, looking after 8 offices across Yorkshire and Stockton on Tees.  Kirstie joined JCI Barnsley in 2010 and has had an active role from the word go. She is passionate about charity fund raising and was responsible for sourcing the 2010 chosen charity for which she organised the award winning Bowlathon in 2010. Kirstie received a certificate of Merit for Most Outstanding New Member at the 2011 JCI Yorkshire awards.  

Immediate Past President- Vicky Savage
Vicky was the 2011 President and Deputy President in 2010.  Vicky was part of the team who designed and ran the 2011 JCI UK National Convention in Sheffield, which was a huge success, attended by JCI members from across the UK and Europe.  Vicky works as an Employability Tutor at Barnsley College.  Her role involves working with the long term unemployed and those at risk of redundancy.   

Social Director- Richard Grange
Richard is a Vendor Scheduler at Land Instruments based in Dronfield, His role is Social Director which makes him responsible for the Chamber, and its members having fun. Richard was also President back in 2008.  

Admin/Finance Director- Debbie Tills
Debbie is project manager for Asda House. Her role as Finance Director makes her responsible for the finances of JCI Barnsley. Debbie is also responsible for JCI Barnsley admin and the JCI Barnsley monthly newsletter.  Debbie has been a member of JCI for 6 years as was JCI Barnsley President in 2009. She was also JCI UK Admin Director in 2011 responsible for National Admin and JCI UK Awards.  

Website Manager- Gemma Fletcher
Gemma was JCI Barnsley President in 2010 and was JCI UK Community Director in 2011, helping to raise $40,000for Nothing But Nets, a global, grassroots, malaria charity and was responsible for coordinating national community work.  Gemma is responsible for maintaining the JCI Barnsley website in 2012 and is also the Communications and Community Director for JCI Yorkshire.  Gemma is a motor recoveries paralegal with national law firm Lyons Davidson.
