Hello guys and gals, your friendly neighbourhood Social Director here with news of our first venture out in 2012, and we kick off with a traditional JCI Barnsley feel to our first event as were popping off for a couple of light ales to our new favourite watering hole: The Old Number 7 for the Acorn Brewery's First Beer Festival at their new Town Centre Home.
The festival will have 11 cask condition ales plus another 10 in the Cellar Bar as well as their usual array of pub favourites (larger /soft drinks) for the less adventurous / sober.
Like all good plans this is a simple one, were looking to turn up around 4 O'clock (please feel free to turn up at any time it would just be nice to see folk!) sample a few ales , talk our usual high level of waffle and depending if folk fancy it pop for a bite to eat later. Simple.
Now I know it's free and I said turn up when you like, but could you be a angel and drop us a email to let us know you're coming and we can keep an eye out for you! Maybe even save you a seat! So there we are, hope to see you all on the 4th ready to quaff a frothy flagon or two and kick off the 2012 social diary.
